Mooching around on holiday

In my quest to find a thimble that took me through 4 op shops and 2 closed quilting shops, I stumbled onto something I have been seeking for ages -

I couldn’t believe my luck! It was 5 bucks! I had 5 bucks! The stars had aligned for your author that day! I was going to order it in from the US, but due to the cost I have been prevaricating about it. Now I feel I can officially tender my resignation to the ‘I never find anything good in op shops’ Society. I also found a stack of gold anchor buttons, which I snapped up. Soon I am going to be refit the navy, and I feel like I am some kind of craft equivalent of Brown and Root.
In the post there was further joy - Mamadoo’s heart swap had arrived!

Isn’t that sweet? My photo doesn’t reflect the stitching around the lace and the gingham, but she has made such nice stitching. [I have little control over my machine and covet the ability to tame these wild stallions!]

When I came home this afternoon, I got another surprise -

Wendy’s heart! The photo is a little dim, but that [and the black chair] show the white on white fabric well.

Aspiring to leaving lilies ungilded.
