Inasumuch as a picture is a thousand.

This i just some tooling around I am doing with embroidery. The idea of an embroidered felted bag is just lovely - and I think a sweet little floral/botanical theme would be lovely. I really love the cast-on stitch at the moment - it is so much reward for so little effort. It looks very neat and interesting - as opposed to most of my embroidery which looks a little chaotic.

This is my other great WIP - it is a table that will one day be my sewing machine table. Darling little cabriole legs, and an interestingly grained wood. I don’t know what it is - some kind of hardwood, but I don’t know what exactly. Dad seems to think it maybe oak - or perhaps an Australian hardwood. I am thinking about a white stain/waxed finish. Something pale and subtle - but until I get to the bottom of all the paint, I am not sure.
To strip it I am using Bostik’s Enviro Stripper - there really isn’t any smell, which I was surprised about. This is a great plus as last time I had to do any kind of painting/solvent work, it was repainting my car in an unventilated shed [thanks Dad!] and I had blood noses for days.

This is the cutest shop! Kids in Berlin I think I could like any stores that proclaims somethign in such exasperation. The purses in the front are cute!
