Revelation!
After a considerable amount of thought, and a little unnecessary worry, I figured out how to do the cast on embroidery stitch. So I spent my lunch hour at work trying to my workmate’s concerns about how to use online airline bookings* and trying to perfect these cute little creatures. Sharon’s assessment that this is three scissors worth of difficulty is a little off the mark, as once you realise it is just hand knitting, it all mentally clicks into place easily.

This is what I am thinking of embroidering my little pink purse with, in a floral kind thing … However, I think I might have to work on my cretan stitch …
I have busted out the blanket to be knitted again - it is my great and fervent hope that I get it finished by the end of this weekend. FOs are pretty cool, and I seem to have a bit of a dearth of them.
*A lil over three months ago, I taught him how to ‘make the letters on the computer go up’ [ or as you and I would say, capitalise using the shift key] - so John’s concerns about his first use of online purchasing was not as terrible as you may think. Oh - except that he is a 31 year old mummy’s boy who has always made me do all of his considerable online activity, most irritatingly, his fantasty football picks. Luckily, he availed himself of a computer, and has learnt a little of how to use it, so that I don’t have to organise all his online dating activities …
